Kevin Burke, MS
Research Scientist
Kevin is a researcher with 10 years of experience working in the laboratory in academia and government research labs.
He obtained his Bachelor’s degree in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of Connecticut in 2017 and his Master’s in Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics from the University of Maryland in 2021.
His research has focused on bacteriology, particularly with pathogenic microbes, and molecular biology where he has honed his skills on handling and working with diverse microorganisms, molecular biology of microbes, and biochemistry. He has a passion for working with new challenges and enjoys developed new protocols and approaches to best address research challenges. His previous work at Walter Reed Army Institute of Research saw him develop new therapies to counter wound infections and save lives. He aims to bring this same passion and experience to improving food safety and preventing foodborne illness to help improve public health while working at NOMADX.
